'Monkeys Ink/Year of the Monkey' from the Living Ink Series
Concept Sketch: The begining concept sketch, I think I'll need to change the curve of her back and the tilt of her head..
| ''Geisha": I've begin to but the finishing touches on the Geisha layer, her skin and lighting is where I want them, but her skin looks darker than what a Geisha should be.
| Ribbon & Cloth.. I've wound the golden ribbon thru her hair and begun laying down the lines for her fallen kimono. Though I need to work abit more on her hair..
Finished Geisha Layer: This is where most of the work is done on the Geisha's. I went back and refined the skin and added the monkey. The skin will have to be lightened and the colour ajusted. The pins in her hair are built seperately and composited in. The final touch was adding her tattoo.
Monkey Layer: I've pretty much let the monkey work out the the way the sketch looks..
Background Wall Art: I sketched and painted this piece for the background. I thought that the Monkey King is the best representation of the intelligence and cunning of the monkey..
| BackGround Layer: 3d models for the background, the wireframe..
BackGround Layer:: Models textured and lighting....
Monkey Ink/Year of the Monkey Art Layer: Here is the background layer, finished for the most part..needs some colour adjustments and more shading. I've added the chess pieces.

Close Up of Finished work:

Combining Different Layers: This is where the Background Layer, The Monkey and the Geisha all come together, with the shadows beneath them. Also the colour of the background is used to tint the side of the Geishas skin and the colour of the gold and red the primary colours used. This is finished.
